TREK TO KARNALA FORT

 The STATE of Maharashtra is famous for its culture, the Maratha Empire that spanned almost all of Maharashtra, the city of Mumbai and its many many forts that had been built in the various periods of the Maratha rule. One among them is the Karnala Fort which is located in present day Raigad district of Maharashtra. The fort is located on top of a mountain that is now called the Karnala peak named after the fort that is located at the top. The area surrounding the peak is now part of the Karnala bird sanctuary which is deciduous forest that is home to a number of migratory and indigenous species of birds. This also one of the famous trekking spots that attract people during the winter and monsoon times.  Ever since I joined my college and heard about the peak I had been planning to take the trek, I had visited the Karnala forest a few times before with family and for academic purposes but never got a chance to explore the compound or take the trek. THE LONGEST TRIP

Mumbai to Cochin  The trip was planned a month ahead. This has always a dream come true moment for me, though I had dreamed of many trips that I wanted  to go many a times, they never happened   due to many reasons that occurred during the respective times. This trip was planned out of an idea. The plan was to travel from Mumbai to Cochin on a Royal Enfield 350 classic passing through Goa. The trip was planned out to last for a week passing through the states of Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, and finally to reach Cochin in Kerala. I had my exams during the time hence all the planning credits goes to my travelling companion and my friend Shahabas Mohamed. It was initially his plan to travel from Mumbai to Kerala by bike. The plan had a sudden change when we had decided to change the travel span to just 2 days . TREK OF SOLITUDE : Agastyamala ...

It all started with a plan to an adventure ,to be born with a thing to do reckless things (things that people would say "are u crazy is always  been my thing " ) but like all folks have never been to a trek once but was longing to do one for a long period. This has been my plan since i reached Kerala. Plan was to travel from ernakulam to trivandrum landing at the trivandrum central station by night . I left the ernakulam station in venad express which reach trivandrum around 8 in the night. Plans to take up a room and keep my luggage and roam around had to be  cancelled as the dorm rooms were all full cause of the sabarimala season . I had to take up this trip in the month of January . The trekking season only stays till may and i couldn't wait any longer due to lack of leaves.  After reaching the  Trivandrum station, went an enquired about the 1st bus to bonacaud from where the trek begins . The bus was at 6 am hence i have 8 hours to spare , had my dinner and went in
